Action!

Finally...I am doing what I came here for. After almost eight months, the cameras rolled.

Wiping the slate clean: One of the first shots we did.

Camera: Checking out the scene with my cinematographer, Cherl Jin. We had a huge fight on the second day, which made things tense and more difficult for me.

Another Young One: Young Jae, one of my producers and an extra in my film.

Goldilocked: These babies ain't going nowhere!

Can't Tasch This: My ex-wife Tascha losing some steam.

Like Father, Like Son: Ahn Sae Hyeong (right) played the father, while Choi Dae Ho (left) is Young Sin. Both were incredibly talented, if at times difficult to work with. Dae Ho, especially, carried this picture on this back (so to speak).

Snow Men

So I was clubbing with my friends, when suddenly, Young Sin dragged me to one side, and pointed towards the window. "Look," he said, "nun manni wayo." ("It's snowing heavily outside.")

So I went and have a look. Sure enough, it was snowing like hell (irony intended).

So we finished up our manic dancing by the next song, and went outside to check it out. I didn't bring my camera, but Soong Do had his cameraphone. I've always wondered about the point of having cameras in phones...but not tonight.

Ice ice babies: Me and a load of snow before it was ploughed into Soo Young's face (who looks like a Muslim woman here. Hmm...)

Two Young Guns: Young Sin and I. His name inspired that of the lead character in my short film, My Father's Son.

Kimchi Monster

Made some kimchi some time back.

All the world's a stage...: but not here today. It was too hot, so we moved inside later on.

Bakri yurisa!: Adept with the knives. Slightly worrying.

Lee nu nim: The manager of the Language Education Center. Nice lady.

Ms. Potter: Apparently they store their kimchis in here.

Cutting edge: Piying impressed. I think.

Masterful mistress: The kimchi teacher.

Artsy: Fartsy.

Sori's Not The Hardest Word

Taken a while back during the Sori Arts Festival. I went with my Seo song seng nim to visit our artist friends, who took part in the festival.

Tentative: their hold ups.

Seo quick!: Seo son seng nim being very Korean. Bakri is in the foreground.

Larger than life: My Malaysian friend Bakri. He's in a similar program to mine, only he concentrates on art rather than films. I go over to his place often for his cooking, which is excellent.
